My girls and I were so happy to be able to help out at the most recent Alice's Escapes open day over the weekend and catch up with many of the amazing supporters as well as Alice's mum and dad and Milly, her sister. Introducing the new lodge and raising awareness for Alice's Escapes  This wonderful charity provides family holidays for seriously-ill children and also bereavement breaks for families of little angels.  In October 2010, 14-year old Alice Pyne was given a terminal prognosis. Could 3D printed hair follicles help with hair loss?

Interesting BBC article about using hair follicles created by a process similar to 3D printing could one day be used as implants, L'Oreal has said. "The cosmetics firm is partnering with a French bio-printing company called Poietis, which has developed a form of laser printing for cell-based objects. Hair follicles have not been created this way before and the firms expect it will take at least three years to adapt the process. Years after diagnosis, many young cancer survivors continue to struggle socially I came across this interesting article published in CANCER via sciencenewsroom@wiley.com "A new study indicates that the social difficulties faced by many adolescent and young adult cancer survivors often persist for years after their diagnosis.
